And when you need money from foreigners, it's a lot smarter to take it in the form of non-interest bearing and non-repayable foreign investment instead of interest-bearing and repayable debt.kleinguthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12491174042954678023noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5882645467378797266.post-89131936699771027592013-04-12T19:21:34.284+02:002013-04-12T19:21:34.284+02:00Interesting proposals, indeed. Only via foreign investment.

This is an area where Germany's industry minister, Rösler, actually tried to achieve a lot. Travelling to Athens with 70 (!) industry leaders to try and craft a "growth an investment offensive".

It didn't work at all well.

http://www.sueddeutsche.de/wirtschaft/geplante-hilfen-fuer-griechenland-viel-laerm-und-leere-worte-1.1296158

No doubt, there's fault on both sides. It appears Minister Chrysohoides was pretty useless. And Rösler's officials really, really shouldn't have started leaking to the media after only six months. It will take years.

It just ended in mutual recrimination. But it was a very good idea.Richard Bourkehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15510809612151756954noreply@blogger.com
