I'd put that mostly down to the lack of all-day schools, very limited childcare, and generally a family infrastructure that has been quite deliberately designed to make it possible for a woman to stay at home and look after the kids.<br /><br />But what it actually does, is make it extremely difficult for a woman to have a career as well as kids.<br /><br />Melencthon, incidentally, had a policy of the Bank of France creating unlimited Euros, in defiance of the ECB, during his presidential campaign.<br /><br />In short, he's a windbag and an idiot.
